2010/2011 CLINICAL EXCELLENCE AWARDS
As the Association of Breast Surgery, we will again be
considering supporting the nominations of our members for Clinical
Excellence Awards this year.
We have been informed that the results of last year's ACCEA award
applications will be released at the end of July. The national
deadline for applications for the coming year will be Friday
10th December 2010.
We understand that the timetable for this year's SACDA awards
has not been announced yet. However we will be working to the same
timetable for these awards and will send our ranked lists of their
fellows to the Scottish Colleges for them to use if appropriate. If
you are working in Scotland and wish to seek the Association's
nomination please submit your application to us on the forms
available on the Association's website so that we can consider your
application at the same time as those in England and Wales.
If you wish the Association of Breast Surgery to give
consideration to supporting your nomination for a bronze, silver or
gold award:
- Send your completed CEA application form electronically
to lucydavies@absgbi.org.uk
at the ABS office by Monday 2ndAugust
2010 AT THE VERY LATEST. No late
applications can be accepted.
- The ACCEA and SACDA systems for this year are not yet open, so
please use the forms available at this website for the
purposes of your submission to the Association.
- Notify us as to whether your application is for a bronze,
silver or gold award.
The Association cannot nominate for platinum awards but can
provide a ranked list of their members at that level to the
relevant Colleges. If you wish to be considered for these ranked
lists please submit your application in the same form as outlined
above by the deadline of the 2nd August 2010.
We strongly advise you to read and adhere to the ACCEA guidance
available on their website:www.dh.gov.uk/ACCEA/index.htm
before submitting.
